[male reporter] That's it tonight here in the Russian capital.

Wherever you're joining us from around the world, it's good to have you with us.

Thank you for choosing Russia Today.

[crowd] Five, four, three, two, one...

[upbeat music]

Hello, and welcome to our first viewers to Russia Today.

A new international news channel from Russia to the world, with me, Sasha Twining.

The headlines this hour...

[overlapping dialogue]

[news theme]

[indistinct chatter]

What is this?

[in Russian]

We begin with a story of sex slaves, underage girls, a billionaire, murder, a prince, and at least one former US President.

What has been the biggest scandal in the UK since World War II, has now come to the US, and it may involve former President Bill Clinton.

As the story grows, it becomes more and more apparent this is not just a story of underage girls.

It is the story of a massive pedophilia ring involving some of the most powerful people in the world.

Now you say Hillary psychologically raped her or Bill's victims.

Private detectives were retained by Hillary Clinton to keep tabs on, and to conduct a terror campaign to silence Bill's sexual assault victims.

Julian Assange is now preparing to release more leaked e-mails.

Assange also made it clear there is no evidence of Russian involvement in the e-mail hack despite the Clinton campaign's claims.

Assange now says he'll be releasing more material that he says will provide enough evidence to see Hillary Clinton arrested.

These could be the nail in Hillary Clinton's coffin.

We have much of the world of television on this panel today to a remarkable extent.

And by the way, President Putin, we've had two visits before.

You owe me another one.

Good night, and enjoy the evening.

Hillary Clinton's campaign manager went on one of the major networks and tried to discredit one of Trump's advisors Michael Flynn, former head of the US Defense Intelligence Agency, by suggesting he has some inappropriate ties with the Russian government.

His evidence? Michael Flynn was interviewed by RT and was invited to RT's anniversary in Moscow where the Russian president was also a guest.

[funky music]

Now it seems that FBI Director James Comey is being dismissed.

They've attempted to say that this is linked to Comey's investigation of the Trump administration and any colluding with Russia.

[reporter] Very pleased to meet you.

Sir, what, uh...

How will the firing of James Comey affect US-Russia relations?

[translator asks in Russian]

[speaking Russian]

[translator] There will be no effect.

[speaking Russian]

[translator] Your question looks very funny for me.

Don't be angry with me.

[speaking Russian]

[translator] We have nothing to do with that.

[speaking Russian]

[translator] President Trump... is acting in accordance with his competence and in accordance with his law and constitution.

Yesterday morning, we awoke to pictures, to children foaming at the mouth, suffering convulsions, being carried in the arms of desperate parents.

We saw rows of lifeless bodies, some still in diapers, some with visible scars of a chemical weapons attack.

How many more children have to die before Russia cares?

[ominous music]

[eerie music]

Russia has given Assad everything he could dream of.

Without Russia's seven vetoes in the security council, defying the views of other members of this council, Assad would now have faced sanctions and justice.

Russia sits here today humiliated by its failure to bring to heel a puppet dictator.

[distorted voice] Here we are, the Russian hackers.

[all repeating] Russian hackers.

[all repeating] Russian hackers.

[distorted voice] We're going to tell you the whole truth because for now, you, the dear CIA, NSA, and FBI won't be able to do anything about it.

I won. I mean, I became president.

[distorted voice] To Intelligence, you still haven't discovered the main thing.

How did we manage to hack more than 60 million Americans who simply chose to kick out the establishment.

[clears throat, speaks Russian]

No collusion, no obstruction.

So far, there's been no conclusive evidence that anything has happened.

So all of these sources are wrong.

US Democrats and the media have rounded on Donald Trump's son over a meeting he held last year with a Russian lawyer.

He says that nothing of substance was discussed at the meeting, which he described as inane nonsense.

It was such a nothing... There was nothing to tell.

I mean, I wouldn't even have remembered it until you start scouring through the stuff.

It was literally just a waste of 20 minutes which was a shame.

Whatever the content was, the characters involved with the meeting are certainly worthy of a good movie.

His classic way of shaking hands is very much into dominance and power.

And... and I think called the bone-crusher handshake as we've seen.

I think there was a hesitance from President Putin.

Almost like, what--what's this?

Is this a new strategy that I'm not aware of?
